LABOR DAY

Labor day was first celebrated back in 1903, when more than a hundred thousand workers marched to Malacanang and demanded better working conditions. Ten years later, on the same day, Congress fought for abolition of child labor, just labor standards for women and liability of capitalists. (taken from en.wikipilipinas.org)

Today, we celebrate labor day in honor of the daily grind and "hussle hussle hussle" of the workers and the entire labor sector. We also commemorate the rights of laborers (to COMMUNE) and to rise up and organize rallies and demonstrations for their behalf.
